Growing up in Ottawa, as a teenager in high school I was lucky to land a summer job in Churchill, Manitoba. This is where it all began. So that I could share this experience, my mother went to the local drugstore where she bought me a Kodak Brownie camera. It had only one control, the shutter, and took roll film, which I had to send to Winnipeg to be developed. When the prints were returned two weeks later, I was hooked!

I pursued a career in sales with Imperial Oil, and shortly after retiring moved to Kingsville, where I opened a home studio and set up a wedding photography hobby business.

My friend and professional photographer, Gordon O’Brien, introduced me to the Windsor Camera Club, where I enjoyed sharing my love of photography with a great group of people. I became active in helping to run the Club, which further added to the joy of my photographic journey.

But overall, in the grand scheme of things, my real focus has always been my family. I am the proud widowed father of three children, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild, with another one on the way!
